The volume of sales
doesn't count. It's
sufficient that he/she
clicks on the link on
your web site for you
to get paid. Obviously,
the payment you get
here is much lower than
it is at the pay
per sale affiliate program,
since the sale is not
compulsory. Though,
the times you get paid
increase, because much
more people only visit
a merchant web site
instead of actually
buying something from
it.
Bounty
Flat fee. You're paid
only once for the customer
you get to the online
merchant, no matter
how may sales the customer
is responsible for.
Two-Tier Program
Every direct sale you
generate for the online
merchant gets you
a commission as well
as sales generated by
affiliates recruited
by you, although, for
the latter, the commission
tends to be lower, sensibly.
Pay Per Lead
A one-time fee is what
you get for generating
a lead for the merchant.
You get paid when the
referred visitor fills
either an application
or a questionnaire.
